From the corporate world to counseling
Before becoming a counselor, I spent more than twenty years at Procter & Gamble.
I worked as a director in a global organization, leading research, managing diverse teams, working across cultures, and delivering large scale projects.
I experienced corporate life from the inside.
I know the pressure of delivering results, managing people, navigating complex organizations, making difficult decisions, and balancing professional responsibilities with family and personal life.
Eventually, my own journey led me in a different direction.
I completed an MA in Counseling at Webster University in Geneva and began a new chapter working with people in a very different way.
Today, I bring these two worlds together.
My corporate experience helps me understand the context in which many of my clients live and work. My counseling training gives me the professional foundation to explore the psychological and emotional dimensions of their experience.
The importance of personal work
My development as a counselor has not been limited to formal academic training.
Over the years, I have explored many forms of personal development and healing, from talk therapy to body based practices, meditation, breathwork, and other experiential approaches.
This exploration has shaped my understanding of how differently people can experience change.
It has also influenced the way I work with clients.
I believe that effective counseling requires more than knowledge of therapeutic models. It requires curiosity, self awareness, humility, and a willingness to continue doing our own work.
I continue to explore my own patterns and assumptions because I believe that knowing ourselves more deeply expands our capacity to accompany others.
My background
I am originally from Istanbul, Turkey, and have lived in Geneva for more than twenty years.
I am a mother of two and understand the complexities of balancing professional responsibilities, family life, and personal wellbeing.
I work in English and Turkish.
